I've been reading a book called "Screaming Hawk, Flying Eagle's Training of a Mystic Warrior" by Patton Boyle. I wanted to post two different excerpts to get feedback, and maybe to see if it rings with any truth with the people here at the forum.

On Christianity and the Mystic Warrior. The words of Flying Eagle

"I am going to tell you something now that most of your people have not understood. I was troubled some years ago when Star Man first showed me his wounds. When i realized that Star Man was also Jesus I wondered if that meant that i should become a Christian. I had a conversation with Star Man about that. He told me something that was very interesting. He said that when, as Jesus, he had commanded the people to go forth into all nations and proclaim the Gospel, he was saying that for the good of the proclaimers as well as for the good of the people receiving what they proclaimed. You see, your Christian faith is not complete in itself. It is made more complete as it is spread to other peoples. You must learn about the Spirit from others. From the Indian you can learn about the Spirit as encountered in nature. From the other peoples you can learn about other aspects of the Spirit. They in turn can learn about encountering the Spirit in community from those of you who truly understand Christianity. Your religion is made more complete as you encounter the truths of other peoples. But somewhere along the line you Christians misunderstood your commission and, for reasons that i do not understand, thought that Jesus was calling you to set up an exclusive religion as thought it already encompassed all of the truth. Your missionaries started spreading Christianity, But instead of learning from the people they taught, the missionaries started telling the people that their old religions were all wrong, that Christianity had all of the truth.
Star man told me not to become a Christian."

-Patton Boyle
