Thank you guys. I hope that you've been well also.
I've been away on holiday for the last week taking my son on his first visit to Walt Disney World in Florida. A very good time indeed.

WARNING: THIS IS JUST AN OPINION. This is such a funny debate!! Actually, I don't think the Jewish/Christian God did command a genocide ever. My opinion is that those are metaphorical stories meant to teach a spiritual reality and not intended to serve as literal history. Save for maybe one or two ...

((HUGS)) Happy Birthday Theo hope you had a great day :) Thank you Anita, I did indeed. I think I must finally be gaining some maturity. When I was little I looked forward to the gifts and party. More recently the celebration and people. This year a profound realization of the blessings fo being al...

Tobias, I’m not sure what aspects of “belief in the bible” you find “ridiculus” and go against "comon sense"? My guess is that what you’re addressing are popular versus less popular interpretations of Scripture - especially where literal ones are common and a symbolic one are uncommon? Pos...

Tobias,
I still marvel at the journey / testing that you've experienced. If I understand your post correctly, these other Hellenistic voices were indeed variations of the God of Scripture or were other entities allowed to test you and for you to experience in contrast?

Rape is, first and foremost, an act of violence, and a way to spiritually torture your victim for years following your attack. I'm guessing that's where the appeal is. If some occultism takes place at the same time for good measure... meh. These guys might say it's necessary for the kind of magic t...

It's good to have a fellow SciFi / Fantasy enthusit and especially an author in these genres on the forum. There are at least a few of us. I'm open to your challenging book even if it does confirm the author's judgment of my narrow mindedness. Hopefully not though. At least 15 pages sounds manageabl...

I think it's safe to assume that none of us fully understand this numinous topic, nor the numinous nature of God. All of our arguments are shots in the dark. In many of these posts, I see arrogance - or unbridled rage. Obviously, none of us are willing to change our opinion or even entertain the op...

What's outside the universe isn't necessarily nothing - it could very likely be something, or multiple somethings. As for black holes, they are definitely not nothing - they are supercompacted matter/energy. Agreed Doesnt spacetime have to exist for something to exist within it? It would seem so at...

I suppose that it is. The ends being a people set-apart to Yahweh, aware of and receptive to His covenant and among whom His diminished manifestation would accomplish reconciliation, and the eternal fellowship of otherwise mortal and perishing human souls. I'm sorry, but if that entire end is predi...

| I am Christian of a sort. Sort of agnostic at this point. I still believe in God and Jesus but I can't come to terms with how Christianity in general has treated homosexuals, and with scientific illiteracy. I might have to do a comparative religion search.
